Who these terms are with

These terms apply to every massage appointment you book with Mourad Massage Therapy, whether at the studio or as a mobile visit. The service is provided by Mohamed Mourad, a sole trader trading as Mourad Massage Therapy, of 230 Belsize Road, London NW6 4BT (“the therapist”). “You” is the person who books, who must be 18 or over. Booking an appointment means you accept these terms; the version on this page when you book is the one that applies.

The service and prices

The therapist provides massage as a professional therapeutic service. It is not a medical service. Treatments, lengths and prices are as listed on the treatments page: at the time of writing, 30, 60 and 120 minutes, at a studio rate and a mobile rate, with mobile travel included within five miles of the studio and a supplement beyond that. The price confirmed to you when you book is the price that applies to that appointment.

Booking and payment

An appointment is confirmed only when you receive a reply by WhatsApp, text, email or phone giving the date, time and the studio or the visit address. Nothing is reserved before that.

Payment is due in full at the end of the appointment, by card, bank transfer or cash. Card payments are handled by a card terminal or its provider. No deposit is taken. Prices include any travel supplement for your postcode, confirmed when you book.

Cancellation, lateness and no-shows

  • Your cancellation or reschedule: at least 24 hours’ notice is needed. With less notice, or if you are not there for a mobile visit, the full price of the booked treatment is charged, because the slot cannot usually be refilled. This is a genuine estimate of the loss, not a penalty.
  • If you are late: the appointment still ends at the booked time and the full price applies. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contact, it may be treated as a no-show.
  • If the therapist cancels: as much notice as possible is given and the appointment is rearranged for the earliest time that suits you, or any payment already made is refunded in full within five working days. Where the therapist cancels at short notice through no fault of yours, a reduction on the rearranged appointment is offered as a goodwill gesture. The therapist is not liable for other costs you may incur.

Space and access for a mobile visit

For a visit you must provide a clear, clean floor area of about two metres by one, on any solid surface, with room to walk around one side, and somewhere safe for the therapist to park or set down equipment nearby. A room that can be kept private and at a comfortable temperature is expected. The therapist may decline to start, or end the appointment, if the space or the situation is unsafe or unsuitable to work in; the cancellation terms above then apply. The studio is a basement reached by stairs, with no step-free access, as set out on the studio page.

Your health disclosure

You must tell the therapist, before the appointment, about any injuries, pain, medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, recent surgery or medication that could affect whether massage is safe for you. Pressure and technique are adjusted on that basis, and some treatments may not be offered. If something material is not disclosed and a risk becomes apparent, the therapist may decline or end the treatment, charged in full. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you disclose.

Not a substitute for medical care

Massage offered here is for general wellbeing and the easing of muscular tension. It is not a diagnosis, treatment or cure for any medical condition and is not a substitute for advice or treatment from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified healthcare professional. If you have a health concern, see a GP or physiotherapist. If symptoms appear or worsen during or after a treatment, stop and seek medical advice.

Conduct

The service is strictly professional and non-sexual. Any sexual conduct, request or suggestion, or any threatening, abusive or intoxicated behaviour, ends the appointment immediately, is charged in full, and means no future bookings will be taken. The therapist may also end an appointment if continuing would be unsafe. You may end a treatment at any time; if you end it early for a reason that is not the therapist’s fault, the booked price still applies.

Liability

The therapist holds public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, the therapist is not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for loss arising from information you did not disclose or from a pre-existing condition. Any liability that does arise is limited to the price paid for the appointment concerned. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including that the service will be carried out with reasonable care and skill.

Complaints

Please raise any concern with the therapist as soon as possible, by email to elsayedmourad72@yahoo.co.uk or by phone on +44 7438 427434, so it can be put right. Concerns about the handling of your personal data can also go to the Information Commissioner’s Office, as set out in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version shown on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to that appointment, and the “last updated” date above changes when they do.

Governing law

These terms and any appointment booked under them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
