Getting there

The studio is on Belsize Road, the quiet residential stretch that runs between Kilburn High Road and Abbey Road. From Kilburn High Road station, come out onto the high road, walk south for a minute and turn into Belsize Road; the building is a short way along on the left. From Kilburn Park station it is about six minutes on foot up Cambridge Avenue. South Hampstead station, on the same Overground line as Kilburn High Road, is roughly twelve minutes away through South Hampstead’s side streets.

If you are driving, there is metered pay-and-display parking on Belsize Road and the surrounding streets, free after 6.30pm and on Sundays in most bays. The studio is outside the Congestion Charge zone, so there is no daytime charge to reach it from the north or west.

What the space is like

It is a single private treatment room, not a shared clinic. There is a professional fixed table, fresh linens for each client, a clean towel, low lighting you can dim further, and heating so the room is warm before you arrive. There is a private corner to undress and dress, hooks for clothes and a chair for bags, and a toilet and basin. Music is optional. Nobody else is in the room and there is no reception desk or waiting area to sit in; appointments are spaced so you are not passing another client on the stairs.

Access, stated plainly

The room is in the basement and is reached by a flight of internal stairs. There is no lift, no ramp and no step-free entrance. If stairs are painful, unsafe or simply not possible for you, do not book the studio: book a mobile visit instead, where the table and everything else comes to you and the whole treatment happens on one level. This is worth sorting out before you book rather than on the day.

What to bring

Nothing. Everything the treatment needs is already in the room. Arrive two or three minutes early rather than bang on time, so you are not rushing down the stairs. Wear whatever is comfortable to travel in. If you have an injury or a sore area, mention it when you book so the session is planned around it.

The studio or a visit

The studio is the cheaper of the two, and usually the easier to book at short notice, because there is no travel to fit into the day. It suits people who live or work in Kilburn, Maida Vale, West and South Hampstead, St John’s Wood, Queen’s Park, Swiss Cottage or Hampstead, or anyone happy to travel to NW6. A mobile visit costs more but removes the journey home afterwards, so the calm holds, and it lets you stay in your own space. Injuries that make stairs hard, new parents who cannot easily leave the house, and hotel guests are usually better served by a visit. If you are not sure which fits, say so when you message and it can be talked through.

Send a WhatsApp message as soon as you know. A short delay is usually fine and the treatment simply starts late. If you are more than about fifteen minutes behind, the session may have to be shortened so the next booking is not affected.
